It’s the boys BIG day today. The big chop chop. They little snip, The medium sized something and they are de-sexed.
…I shouldn’t be making light of it though, Ashton is still a bit tender on the issue.
Last night they were fasted from 7pm onwards (except that I forgot not to give them their bedtime bikkie, so luckily I didn’t kill them for that). They got a nice long walk this morning and then I dropped them into the vet on my way to work.
Dropping them off at the vet was quite easy. Almost like booking them in for a car service to be truthful. “Would you like a blood test as well, would you like us to remove that last baby tooth, ahh, that part’s not quite right, that will cost extra, Do you know that you can now get a 12 month heart work vaccine, when was the last time you were in” quite inquisitive AND expensive with all the add-ons! (Yep like a Car Service) However it has to get done and sometime it all just seems so necessary.
As an afterthought, I might of liked all the additional questions..The last vet we went too seemed very uninterested in sharing any information with us at all!Sort of snooty and uncaring of the fact that we now have a live animal in our care.
Anyway.. signed on the bottom line, said goodbuy to the pups and awaited the phone call to hear that they were okay. Indeed, the phonecall came around 2pm to say that they have both recoved nicely and the surgery went well.
Key highlight- Ludo’s testicle was located in his abdomen!(What the..)
